About Our Chapter

Founded by five young women in December 1889, in Athens, Ohio, the Ohio Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi is the first and longest-standing women's fraternity on Ohio University's campus. The active chapter is comprised of over 100 bright, unique, and dedicated women from all over the country. The chapter is also supported by thousands of dedicated alumnae and sisters nationwide. The Ohio Alpha Chapter supports and strives to contribute to the vision of Pi Beta Phi: to be recognized as a premier organization for women by providing lifelong enrichment to its members and contributing to the betterment of society.
